Lofoten Islands

The Lofoten Islands and their mighty mountain ridges rise from the Artic Sea forming one of the most impressive landscapes on earth. They provide the perfect setting for incredible photography opportunities with soft winter light. The Lofoten Islands are located above the arctic circle in Northwest Norway. Made up of deep fjords, craggy peaks, sandy beaches, and cute red fishing cabins, the islands are a wonderful location for landscape photography. Every fjord offers an alternate  perspective of epic cliffs reflecting in the chilly yet clear water below. The contrasting colors of aquatic hues blending with the striking shades of rock and snow create a canvas that’s hard to ignore.

For now, I will share a collection of images without the cute cabins and fishing villages.  You can find them here.  And don’t forget to have a look at these pics with northern lights. Dancing over the sandy beaches of the Lofoten, they are quite stunning!
